NIPF make annual Recognition Payments to eligible clients (per household).
These payments reflect the Fund’s continued commitment to those RUC & PSNI officers who have been seriously injured or disabled, physically/psychologically or both as a result of being the direct target of a terrorist attack; the Widow/Widowers (including remarried widows/widowers) and Parents of RUC & PSNI officers whose death occurred as a result of being the direct target of a terrorist attack.
The Recognition Payment is consistent with the Regulations of NIPF and acknowledges the importance of the payment being viewed by clients as a recognition of those who have sacrificed and suffered so much in service of the community.
