Guidance for Clients: Posting Correspondence to Northern Ireland Police Fund
When sending any correspondence to the Northern Ireland Police Fund, the responsibility of postage is with the sender, please see following guidance to ensure your post is received successfully:
- You use valid postage stamps. Royal Mail changes have rendered older postage stamps invalid, and, where these are used, the post will not be delivered.
- You have the correct postage stamps to ensure the post is delivered. If you are using larger envelopes or sending multiple documents, ensure there is adequate postage to cover the envelope size and weight. We recommend the envelope be weighted in a post office.
- We would strongly recommend that you include a return address on all letters. Should you not wish to add your full address, you can use your house number and the postcode instead, and it should be returned to you.
- Ensure you are not posting documents in a ‘used’ envelope.
- If possible, please use cello-tape to seal the envelope to ensure it is secure.
We will endeavour to include a pre-paid envelope in some circumstances, such as returning a Letter of Offer. Please use this and seal it securely.
We appreciate your assistance in ensuring that all post is successfully received by NIPF and to ensure that all correspondence is kept confidential.
The fund cannot be held liable for any correspondence that has been lost, damaged, including opened in transit, lost in transit, or carries the incorrect postage.
